About
Why this site was createdIt all started when…
My4closure.com was created in 2001 out of urge to fulfill a basic need. This need was simple - Find real estate foreclosure listings in any area without having to pay stupid, recurring monthly fees. You see, foreclosure listings are public domain information. By law, these listings are to be announced to the public. However, in this day of the internet, savvy web site owners have figured out how to combine these listings and charge you, the consumer, ridiculous fees to view their aggregated lists. While, to be honest, most of these lists are not up to date or complete.
So, after watching infomercial after infomercial for Carlton Sheets, the Bargain Network, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and many others, like you I was curious if there was an easy way of finding active foreclosure listings in my area online. The simple answer was no, there wasn’t an easy way.
As a result, I made it my goal to find all these listings (which are publicly available, but very hard to find) and put them in one simple list for myself. I refused to pay a monthly fee for which I knew was supposed to be free information. And, after a few months of dilligent research I have created a database of foreclosure and pre-foreclosure listings which cover literally every state. These listings are updated instantly. They include all the major foreclosure holding houses, REO’s, pre-foreclosure lists, and more.
After realizing the value of this list, I decided to provide it to the public. But, I wanted it to be affordable. And I wanted to set this information free, rather than hide it behind a wall of a recurring-monthly-fee-website. So, as a result, I am providing you this database of foreclosure listings which represents many months of research and constant updates.
I’m proud to say that I have accomplished my goal. Not only is this service affordable, but it is a valuable service to all real estate investors and aspiring home owners. Now, finding that great deal on a home has never been easier, or more accessible.
